The Austin Convention Center Redevelopment is one of the most significant, high-priority, and transformative capital improvement projects currently underway for the City of Austin. Once completed, the expanded facility will dramatically improve operational capacity and create new opportunities for convention business. Beyond its functional upgrades, the project will reimagine six downtown city blocks, transforming them into a vibrant, authentically Austin destination for both visitors and locals. Although still in the early design stages, construction is set to begin next year. This presentation will provide an overview of the project, schedule, and construction process, bringing this ambitious vision of a vibrant and authentic Austin experience to life.
