Alex Casolaro
Director of Credential Sales, SXSW

Alex Casolaro is the first-ever Director of Credential Sales at SXSW, where she leads B2C, B2B, and B2G sales initiatives for SXSW EDU and the SXSW Conference & Festivals. Based in Austin, Alex works cross-functionally to leverage content, marketing, and partnerships to drive conversion, consistently striving to  exceed event badge sales targets. She also builds and fosters relationships with local organizations, industry groups, and educational institutions to support growth and engagement. Prior to relocating to Austin in 2021, Alex spent over seven years in New York City at ViacomCBS, where she worked with iconic brands such as Nickelodeon, MTV, CMT, and VidCon in sales, marketing, and event production. Alex has also contributed her expertise to Forefront Networks and The LINE Hotel in Austin, further expanding her diverse background in marketing, partnerships, hospitality and event management.

Michele Flores
Chief Logistics Officer, SXSW

Michele Flores is a member of SXSW’s Executive Leadership Team and serves as Chief Logistics Officer responsible for the Housing, Event Operations, Planning, Production, and Registration Departments. Prior to joining SXSW in 2012 her career in the event industry was based at Direct Events producing shows and managing its legendary venues including Antunes, Austin Music Hall, The Backyard, and La Zona Rosa. A native of Chicago’s South Side, Michele grew up in Austin, Texas, and recalls buying a wristband in 1987 for a brand new music festival called SXSW. For over 30 years she has been involved in some capacity with theevents industry, SXSW, and the growth of Austin, Texas.
